We are fast approaching the national Ultreya GB in Chichester on 5th September 2026. It is a glorious chance to meet fellow Cursillistas from across our island. It was my first time last year in Durham and won’t be my last. It was such fun, and we all need more fun in our lives. The joy in each other’s common belief was palpable, and our Bishop Sarah was the celebrant, in her old job as Bishop of Jarrow. She said at the end of the first hymn that Durham Cathedral had rarely heard such joyful noise and that the packed congregation had “lifted the roof”.

Chichester might seem like a long way, but in fact you can get there on two trains from Cambridge – take the Thameslink Brighton service as far as Three Bridges, then get on a train heading from Portsmouth Harbour. It’s not the speediest of journeys, but it takes you through the lovely countryside of the Sussex Downs.
All events in our calendar are for EVERYONE! Those who have attended weekends (or those who are yet to do so) – however long ago or recently and a time to renew friendships and share the Love of Christ and encourage each other. Ultreya is a word of encouragement, often used by pilgrims travelling the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain as well as for Cursillistas. Ultreya! Keep going!
